Dr. Roger McKinney

Roger McKinney, MD, has been providing family medicine and primary care to the Lebanon and Wilson County community for more than four decades. A co-owner of Family Medical Associates since 1980, Dr. McKinney has dedicated his career to caring for individuals and families through every stage of life. Over the years, he has had the privilege of developing lasting relationships with his patients and caring for multiple generations of families throughout the community.

Dr. McKinney earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University before receiving his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. He completed his residency in Family Practice at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Throughout his career, Dr. McKinney has also served the community in numerous medical leadership positions, including Chief of Staff at Humana McFarland Hospital, Medical Director roles, Assistant Coroner for Wilson County, and as a member of the governing board of University Medical Center.

Dr. McKinney's approach to family medicine emphasizes long-term relationships, continuity of care, and an understanding of each patient's individual health needs. His decades of experience allow him to bring both extensive clinical knowledge and a personal, community-centered approach to patient care. Outside of medicine, his interests include horses, antique cars, and beekeeping.
